New Class begins August 4 -
75% classroom, 25% field studies/trips. Classes run from August to December and are limited to 30 students. Cost of the total program is $50.00/person and includes all of the course materials. Classes are open to anyone 18 years or older as of the date of the orientation class.
Participants are expected to cover all the material of the course. If a student misses a class, they are expected to make up the work within one year from the completion of the session. This can be done either by attending the missed class during the next session or by offering evidence of having covered the topics of the missed class in an Advanced Training class or training given by an outside provider.
Most classroom lectures will be held in the Ballou Park Nature Center or Danville Science Center. The field studies classes will generally be held on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Anglers Park, Dan Daniel Park, White Oak Mountain Wildlife Preserve, or other local natural resource areas.
